President of Mongolia visits the Emir of Kuwait
President Ts.Elbegdorj visited His Highness the Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of Kuwait at Bayan Palace on December 5. President and Amir mutually expressed their satisfaction on the progressive developing of relations between Mongolia and Kuwait. They are especially pleased that the visits from high-ranking officials are becoming more regular, believing it will grow and strengthen the relations of the two countries.
President Ts.Elbegdorj stated that substructure projects have been successfully implemented in Mongolia with the support of Kuwait funds and said he hopes the transactions of loans and investments continue.
The Mongolian Embassy in Kuwait was established in 2009 and the Kuwaiti Embassy in Mongolia was established in 2010.
During this visit, they discussed investment projects to further the substructure and processing factories. Amir said they ready to invest in bilateral remunerative and international projects.
Also, they exchanged opinions about cooperation to improve provisions of petroleum and how to escape one market dependency.
In Kuwait, there are famous university branches from the U.S., Austria, New Zealand and Western Europe. Thus, Mongolia has an opportunity to cooperate in the education sector. Amir agreed on the proposal from the Mongolian President to increase scholarship for students studying in Kuwait from Mongolia. They also exchanged their views about the development of substructure in desert regions, green areas, and the conservation of natural resources. Kuwait is donor country to Mongolia, providing loans and aid since 1990, but this visit proved Mongolian and Kuwaiti relations have developed beyond this.
