FOREIGN MINISTRY TO RUN SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On occasion of the 100th anniversary of contemporary diplomatic service of Mongolia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize a scientific conference themed "Contemporary diplomatic service of Mongolia--100 years" on December 15.


It is expected that the conference will bring together members of the parliamentary Standing committee on security and foreign policy, advisors to the State Head and to the Premier, scholars and researchers from the Institute of International Studies at the Academy of Sciences, School of International Relations at Mongolia's State University, Institute of Strategic Studies, University of Defense, and Institute of Geopolitics.

A scientist from the Institute of International Studies O.Batsaikhan will deliver a report titled "The Mongolian national revolution for freedom and The 8th Bogd Jebtsundamba Khutuktu"; an ambassador and a senior diplomat T.Tomorkhuleg--a report titled "Policies and positions of the power states during Mongolia of Bogd Khaan", and researcher Baabar--a report "Foreign policy of Mongolia in 1928-1945".

Other reports will be given by D.Monkh-Ochir, a director of the Scientific Institute of Defense; J.Choinkhor, an ambassador; Ts.Gombosuren, an ambassador and former FM of Mongolia; D.Ganbat, a director of the Institute of Strategic Studies; and by D.Myagmar, a director of the Institute of Geopolitics.

In addition, a ceremony will take place to grant prizes to students who have taken first places at a scientific contest named "Foreign Policy of Mongolia" organized by the Foreign Ministry.
