TS.ELBEGDORJ MEETS WITH HIS AUSTRIAN COUNTERPART
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj met on Monday Mr. Heinz Fischer, the president of the Republic of Austria and shared views on the bilateral relations and cooperation, at the 4th forum of United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in Doha, Qatar.
The Mongolian President expressed thanks to Austria for supporting Mongolia's democracy and then confirmed that the Austrian president has been invited to visit Mongolia. Mr. Elbegdorj hopes that regularizing pf mutual visits will significantly contribute to forwarding of the Mongolia-Austria ties. In turn, Mr. Fischer promised to visit Mongolia.
Since the next high-level meeting of the Community of Democracies (CD) has been scheduled next year in Austria, the dignitaries shared views on the democracy education. They agreed that opening of a representative of the European Union (EU) in Ulaanbaatar is important in forwarding the ties between Mongolia and EU and its members.
The sides also talked about activating the bilateral cooperation in education, for many Mongolian youths are gettign more interested in studying in Austria.
The states' leaders expressed a mutual confidence that a soft loan of EUR 40 million, rendered from Austria, will be fruitfully spent for the health and infrastructure spheres.
The Presidents discussed issues of a mutual interest.
