MPRP sends note about teachers’ strike to Parliament and Government
The MPRP sent a note about the teachers’ strike to Parliament and the Government on Thursday.
MPRP Secretary L.Tsog spoke with our correspondent at the Government House when he delivered the note.
L.Tsog said that, as a party of social democracy, the MPRP places importance on education and social issues.
He said the Government should pay attention to the teachers’ demands, which include salary increases and access to information about changes in the education sector.
L.Tsog said the coalition government has not done enough to improve the education sector, which, he said, is a main force in the development of the country.
L.Tsog added that increasing teachers’ salaries is not only an issue of inflation, but also the development of the education sector. He said that is why the MPRP is urging Parliament and the Government to implement the teachers’ demands. He warned that the Government has already promised to increase teachers’ salaries.
