S.BATBOLD: BALI DEMOCRACY FORUM MEETS CD'S GOALS

The Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Batbold has underlined that Mongolia is adhering to priorities such as a supporting civil society organizations, widening the regional cooperation, and sharing experience with nations by making the education a core topic as for chairing the Community of Democracy (CD).


It was said at the 4th Bali Democracy Forum (BDF) kicked off on Thursday at the Bali International Convention Center, Indonesia.

The Premier pointed out that the BDF is fully met the CD’s priorities and goals, adding Mongolia has put a proposal named “Asian partnership for democracy” and targeted at strengthening the regional cooperation in frames of the CD. The BDF 2011 under a topic “Enhancing Democratic Participation in Changing World: Responding to Democratic Voices” has brought together representatives of 82 countries, including PMs of 22 countries.

Mongolia’s Premier has been invited to attend it for the first time, and he has been welcomed by the President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the forum. This year’s gathering is discussing issues of participation of the public and of focusing the public voice on the democracy and reforms.
