CABINET TO DISCUSS REQUIREMENTS OF TRADE UNIONS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The cabinet discussed on Friday the governmental guidelines in frames of the requirements put by the Mongolia's Trade Unions (MTU) and other unions, and made some decisions.

As known, the unions demand the cabinet to urgently increase salaries for state and budgetary organizations' staffers.

As decided, the requirements will be considered by the government, the MTU and the Mongolian Union of Employers--the sides of the trilateral agreement for 2010-2011 on labor and social agreement. The cabinet intends to keep to the trilateral agreement's 1st clause of the 3rd article which states that the sides shall solve the pay rise together and shall put a related proposal to parliament, through a correct distribution of the budget in times of economic crisis and by revising of the salary system.

T.Gandi, the Minister of Social Welfare and Labor, has been advised to make directions in salaries and pensions' volume, reflected in the state budget, during this discussion.

In order to make the pay rise, the government has reflected in the draft budget for 2012 positions and agreements of the social partners' sides, but the salaries for state servants will be augmented in April and in October in accordance with a parliamentary decision.
