DP to observe historic anniversaries

The DP is observing the anniversaries of two historic events in the party’s history this month.

On December 10, 1989, young people gathered outside the Youth Culture Center to demand democracy, an event that blossomed into the democratic revolution of 1990.

And on December 6, 2000, five political parties formed an alliance to form the DP. The DP is organizing several events to mark the anniversaries. There will be a meeting at the Culture Palace at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. DP Chairman N.Altankhuyag, Secretary General D.Erdenebat, DP parliamentary caucus chairman Ch.Saikhanbilig, and MP E.Bat-Uul will give speeches at the meeting. On December 7, a “book day” will be held with the theme of “Democratic Revolution and Democratic History.” And on December 9, a “Mongol Citizen 2020 Ulaanbaatar” forum will be held at the Yarmag Sport Complex. Several bands including the Morin Khuuriin Ensemble will perform at the event.
