Ulaanbaatar Democratic Union begins campaign
Ulaanbaatar Democratic Union informed to begin campaign “Five issues for you” from October 10 to 17.
The union members stated that the campaign will urge Parliament and the Government to decide five problems facing people.
The union urges:
1. Mongolia would own shares of 51 and more percent from strategic deposit mines along amendment of the law on mineral resources.
2. Special permission of mining organizations that have not restored nature following the rules should be canceled. Also new rules of monitoring of nature should be prepared.
3. Social welfare structure should be changed and pension difference should be decided along new structure. Also to dismiss welfare allowances.
4. A draft law on public interests protection would be prepared and a new structure of responsibility would be issued. Officials who violate public interests should be taken responsibility measures by the new structure.
5. Local settlements’ management should be appointed by citizens’ representatives along increase of local authority. Governors should be appointed by local residents.
Salary amount of Mongolian and foreign workers should have similar amount along increase of Mongolian citizen’s value. To complete condition that Mongolians who educated abroad high education and vocational training could work in home.The members appealed citizens to express their opinions.
