RESEARCH IN POPULATION'S NUTRITION PRESENTED
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A report on the fourth national research into nutritional level among Mongolia's population has been published in Mongolian and English languages.
The research was conducted throughout the country in 2010, and a report presentation took place on Thursday in the Health Ministry. This year's research is different from previous three ones, for an access to the nutrition among children and women has been divided into four zones and is compared with the situation in Ulaanbaatar city. It gives more opportunities to accord activities with the specific features of the zones.
The research is conducted by the government every five years. This year's work was successfully run by the Sitology Center at the Social Health Center in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, the UNICEF, the WHO and the World Vision Mongolia International Organization.
Present at the presentation were over 100 representatives of the above organizations and experts from health departments of NGOs.
