MPs approve a draft law on fight of human trafficking
Minister for Justice and Internal Affairs Ts.Nyamdorj presented a draft law on fight of human trafficking and Parliament discussed the draft law on Thursday.
MPs approved further discussion of the draft law by the Standing Committee on Justice.
The Minister stated that human trafficking matters have been registered in Mongolia in recent years and its legislation has been needed. MPs have had different opinions on the draft.
R.Gonchigdorj suggested that the draft law needs explanation of human trafficking function such as human abduction, fraudulent, trafficking by misusing authority and post.
D.Odkhuu stated that the world countries fight human trafficking by police work, prevention policy and not beating of rap. He also said that the draft should cover monitoring of mediating marriage with foreign citizens not only press but also internet sites.
