Foreign Affairs Ministry organizes anniversary events
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is organizing events marking the 50th anniversary of Mongolia’s membership in the United Nations.
A conference called “Mongolia’s UN Membership: 50 Years” was held at the ministry on Thursday morning, followed by an open house.
Representatives of state organizations, diplomatic missions in Ulaanbaatar, and international organizations took part in the conference.
Foreign Affairs Minister G.Zandanshatar opened the conference with a speech and present papers including “The History of Mongolia’s Membership in the UN and Its Significance” and “Mongolia’s Participation in UN Activity.”
The open house displayed feature of postage stamps commemorating Mongolia’s diplomatic history and its UN membership, as well as historic photographs depicting Mongolia-UN cooperation. Also, the winners of contests relating to Mongolia’s UN membership were honored.
