SSC rejects registration of Party for People
The State Supreme Court (SSC) has rejected a request by Kh.Bat-Yalalt and others to register Party for People as a political party in Mongolia.
The SSC ruled that the documents submitted with the request did not meet legal requirements. That means the request may be resubmitted with new documentation.
Kh.Bat-Yalalt told our correspondent that the party was established on July 6, 2011, and has 1,200 members. Kh.Bat-Yalalt said the party was founded and an assembly was held in accordance with requirements, but the SSC said that members’ names have not been properly registered and did not acknowledge that the assembly was held.
Kh.Bat-Yalalt added that members of the party delivered the documents to the court on July 20 and would resubmit their request.
