PRESIDENT TO VISIT ITALY, VATICAN AND CROATIA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj will pay an official visit to Italy October 16-19 at invitation of his Italian counterpart Giorgio Napolitano. Then will visit Vatican and Croatia, with a state visit at invitation of Ivo Josipovic October 19-20. In Italy, the two Presidents will hold official talks. Mr Elbegdorj will meet Gianfranco Fini, a president of the Italian Chamber of Deputies (Lower House); Jacques Diouf, a Director-General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO); Roberto Formigoni, a governor of Lombardy Region; and Giuliano Pisapia, a mayor of Milan city. In Vatican, the President will meet the 16th Pope Benedict to share views on widening of the Mongolia-Vatican relations. In Croatia, Ts.Elbegdorj will negotiate with Mr Josipovic bilateral relations and cooperation issues, and will receive Croatia's Premier Mrs Jadranka Kosor and the Speaker Mr Luka Bebic. The President plans to talk with Italy and Croatia on expanding the cooperation in food, agriculture, small- and middle-sized productions, veterinary medicine, oil, tourism, health, transportation, road and education spheres.
