MPP meets to discuss Finance Ministry, election promises
MPP members of Parliament and the party’s managing council met behind closed doors at the Elite Center on Tuesday. Among the issues discussed were control of the Finance Ministry and election promises.
The MPP believes that, since the finance minister is a member of DP, the DP has too much control over the ministry. Therefore, it was suggested that an MPP member be appointed finance minister if possible.
MPP officials also discussed how to allocate the MNT 1 million promised to each Mongolian without raising inflation. Another issue is how to make sure private sector salaries keep up with state workers’ salaries, since state workers are set to receive a 53 percent raise in 2012.
They also discussed the implementation of the Government’s program and the Oyutolgoi issue.
