Mongolia, Turkey to cooperate on military issues
A Mongolian delegation headed by Defense Minister L.Bold paid an official visit to Turkey from October 19 to 21 at the invitation of Turkish Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz. The defense ministers held talks on developing deeper ties between their two nations’ defense sectors. Afterwards they signed an intergovernmental agreement of financial cooperation in military matters.
Col. Kh.Batsaikhan, the head of the Policy Implementation Board of the Defense Ministry of Mongolia, and Col. Guksel Ahchi, the head of the Defense Industry and Foreign Affairs Office of the National Defense Ministry of Turkey, signed an intergovernmental protocol for financial aid.
Mongolian delegates also visited the Yakupoglu factory, which manufactures military clothing, and MKEK Corporation, which manufactures chemicals and other products.
