B.GANBOLD ATTENDS MEETING OF ASIA COOPERATION DIALOGUE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A delegation headed by B.Ganbold, a director of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took part in a Foreign Ministers' meeting of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) held October 9-11 in Kuwait. Mr Ganbold has delivered speeches at sub-meetings titled "Opportunities of investment cooperation and fruitful exploitation of mineral resources for development of Asian countries" and "Cooperation of Asian countries in cultural sector, participation of youth". Then he met delegates of Kuwait, Qatar, the Philippines and Kyrgyzstan to exchange views on the bilateral and multi-lateral cooperation. The ACD was inaugurated in June 2002 in Cha-Am, Thailand, where 18 Asian Foreign Ministers met together for the first time. As of today, the ACD is uniting 31 countries, has become an important mechanism of talks of the Asian countries. Mongolia entered the ACD in 2004.
