600 Mongolians fail health exam, barred from working in S. Korea

Officials say 5,154 Mongolian citizens seeking employment in South Korea passed a Korean language examination in September.

Of those, 4,836 underwent a required health examination in October.

It has now been revealed that 600 people failed the health exam and will not be permitted to work in South Korea, mostly due to contagious diseases. 1,383 Mongolian citizens are currently registered with the South Korean Labor Exchange, and if South Korean employers request Mongolian workers, the workers will go to South Korea in January.
