TS.ELBEGDORJ LEAVES FOR OMNOGOBI
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj left on Thursday for Omnogobi aimag and started his tour from the Tavantolgoi coal deposit located in Tsogttsetsii soum.
Firstly, the President got acquainted with activities of the "Tavantolgoi" company, and then legged the "Erdenes Tavantolgoi" company that has been extracting coal on the Tavantolgoi deposit from Augist of the last year.
According to the company's director L.Enebish, the "Erdenes Tavantolgoi" company has extracted about one million tons coal so far, and it intends to augment size of the coal to be extracted a year. It is expected that the company will extract 20 million tons coal by the year 2014.
L.Enebish emphasized an importance of the infrastructure development for companies extracting coal on the Tavantolgoi deposit. "Our company constructed last year 140 km paved-road with its investment. This road's load-bearing capacity is 10-13 tons, but transportation of vehicles with above limited weight is causing problem," he stressed.
The same day, Ts.Elbegdorj got acquainted with activities of the "Energy Resource" company. On Friday, he will leg the "Oyutolgoi" company.
