“Miner & Supplier 2012” forum to be held
The NGO Mineral Resources and Mining Exchange is holding its second “Miner & Supplier” forum at the Chinggis Hotel on March 15 and 16.
Taking part will be mining company directors, supply organizations, mining engineers, managers, and financial specialists.
They will discuss issues concerning the goods and services that the mining sector requires. Mongolia’s mining sector is developing rapidly, with other sectors likely to follow. But the state has not implemented subsidies or legislation dealing with mining supplies, including everything from heavy equipment to food for workers. The forum will also bring together domestic companies and improve participants’ knowledge of relevant legislation and agreements. The major mining companies in Mongolia are planning to take part in the forum. The latest data show that 3,300 supplier companies work in Mongolia, most of which have foreign investment.
