Democratic Union marks 22nd anniversary
The Democratic Union of Darkhan-Uul aimag organized a symposium on January 22 to mark its 22nd anniversary.
Mongolian Democratic Union Chairman and MP Kh.Battulga attended the symposium and opened it with a speech. He said that, while Mongolians established democracy in the country 22 years ago, “we have not strengthened the economy yet.”
“Citizens face poverty while the country has abundant mineral resources,” Kh.Battulga said. “That is why we should issue correct policies for the good of our future.”
Delegates stated their opinions and suggestions and read papers about the union’s failures and successes.
Democracy pioneers noted that citizens should seek ways to resolve current issues, such as citizens’ discontent, economic inequality, and poverty.
