Mayor introduces roads plan
Ulaanbaatar Mayor G.Munkhbayar, Deputy Mayor B.Munkhbaatar, and other officials introduced a plan for road construction and repair on Saturday.
The officials studied road construction and repair projects in the Biokombinat, Yarmag, Zuragt, and Denjiin 1,000 areas, where roads have been damaged due to rain or heavy use. Money for road projects has been allocated from the 2012 state budget.
Auto Road Office Chief D.Od stated that tenders have been announced for 43 road and bridge projects in 2012, and two gasoline stations will be built. A 16.1-km road from Yarmag Bridge to the airport will be built.
A new road will be built from Denjiin 1,000 to Zuragt, and the officials underlined that road construction should not cause difficulty to citizens.
G.Munkhbayar stated that road construction works should be started on their scheduled times, and constructors should pay attention to road quality.
