Standing Committee accepts Constitution Court ruling
The Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science discussed on Wednesday a Constitution Court ruling that found some provisions of the laws on tax exemption and social insurance violate the Constitution.
The court concluded that a provision of the law on tax exemption pertaining to elderly citizens, people who are physically unable to work, and children was unconstitutional, as was a provision in the law on social insurance pertaining to medical care.
Members of the committee accepted the Constitution Court’s findings.
