Representatives of winter cities gathering in Ulaanbaatar
The 15th conference of Livable Winter Cities Association (WCA) is being held at Ulaanbaatar Hotel in Ulaanbaatar from January 13 to 15.
50 delegates from 12 cities of Japan, the USA, China, Estonia, South Korea, and Russia are taking part in the conference.
Ulaanbaatar Mayor G.Munkhbayar opened the conference with a speech and the President of Winter Cities Mayors Union and Mayor of Sapporo, Fumio Ueda, gave a speech at the conference opening. Conferences of the association organized under slogan “Winter season, reserve, and priority”. Delegates of previous conferences discussed facing difficulties of winter cities and exchanged experiences. Besides, delegates talked about winter cities planning, public transportation, snow cleaning, and winter season tourism issues.
Ulaanbaatar has joined to WCA since 1998 and it has actively participated in the association works. Winter Expo is also being held during the conference.
