Nature, Environment and Tourism Ministry to hold forum
The Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism is holding a forum on responsible development at the Government House from January 14 to 16.
An estimated 400 preservationists from the countryside, managing officials from some 100 soums that have ecological problems, ecological specialists from the offices of aimag governors, and citizens groups will take part in the forum.
The forum will feature open discussions on the themes “Stable Development and the Mining Sector,” “Stable Development and the Environment,” and “Stable Development and Adaption to Climate Change.”
Delegates will also discuss air pollution issues. The ministry has proclaimed 2012 a year of fighting air pollution.
