Mongolia’s Best Handwriting announced

The nicest hand writing competition, organized by the Khumuun Bichig Newspaper, announced it’s winners on January 16.


This year marks the 20th anniversary since the “Khumuun Bichig” Newspaper was established.

This year also marks the 15th anniversary of the competition. Over 1000 children participated in this year’s competition. The oldest competitor was S. Jigjidsuren, a citizen of Sukhbaatar who has been participating in this competition for the last 14 years.

Bulgan aimag’s Z.Munkhnaran, Khuvsgul aimag’s Z.Munkhnaran and B.Oyun-Undrakh, Bayankhongor aimag’s Sh.Tsedensodnom and Songino Khairkhan as well as district’s School number 105’s student, B.Lhamsuren, won the competition .They were awarded the right to enroll at the Mongolian National University with no exams and tuition for four years.

G. Badamtesgseg won the adult competition and teacher Ch. Narantuya won the Professional Teacher’s competition.

“Shine Uy” high school’s student M.Maral won in the grades 1 to 4 classification.

“Erdmiin Undraa” high school’s student Ts.Anudari won in the grades 9 to 10 classification.
Bulgan aimag’s teacher M.Tserendejid and teacher at the State’s 18th high school’s was selected in the classification of creative hand writing.

Ts.Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia presented their award and congratulated them.

He said, “We have to save Mongolia’s cultural heritage through the Mongolian script. I’m glad to use Mongolian script in my official letters sent to the foreign countries.”
