Mongolia establishes diplomatic relations with Panama
Mongolia formally established diplomatic relations with Panama on January 17.
The joint statement on relations was signed in New York by O.Enkhtsetseg, Mongolia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, and her counterpart from Panama.
The two sides have agreed to develop bilateral relations and cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, and other spheres by following the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the UN Charter, and the principles and norms of international laws.
Mongolia’s Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry has set a goal of establishing diplomatic ties with all United Nation member countries in connection with the 100th anniversary of Mongolia’s diplomatic service and the 50th anniversary of the country’s UN membership.
