EXTERNAL TRADE TURNOVER REACHES USD 1,1307.2 MILLION
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In 2011, Mongolia traded with 127 countries, where total external trade turnover reached USD 1,1307.2 million.
It means that exports made up USD 4,780.4 million and imports--USD 6,526.9 million.
In 2010, external trade balance showed a deficit of USD 291.6 million increasing by USD 39.3 million or 15.6 per cent against the previous year, in 2011, the external trade balance was in a deficit of USD 1,746.5 million going up USD 1,455.0 million or 6.0 times against the 2010.
Total external trade turnover increased USD 5,198.7 million against the previous year, of which imports by USD 3,326.8 million, and exports by USD 1,871.8 million.
Mineral products, textiles and textile articles, natural or cultured stones, precious metals, jewelry, coins, raw and processed hides, skins, fur and articles, animal origin products thereof accounted for 98.5 per cent of the total export value amount.
