EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT APPRECIATES MONGOLIA'S DECISION
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The European Parliament has appreciated a decision made by Mongolia's parliament on ratifying the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).
A letter about this was sent on Wednesday by Mr. Paolo Bartolozzi, a member of the European Parliament and chairman of the European Parliament's Central Asia and Mongolia Affairs. Mr. Bartolozzi underlined that this decision is one of the vital steps of Mongolia, and expressed satisfaction with Mongolia's efforts to strengthen the democratic principles and to develop the Mongolia-EU ties.
