Medicine smugglers caught at border

During an inspection by the state inspectors of the General Customs Office of Mongolia on an international train running between Beijing and Ulaanbaatar, a massive amount of smuggled medicine was discovered.

When inspecting the baggage of two North Korean citizens, 1,000 boxes of Kumdan injections, 3.9 kg of brown powdered medicine, 12 boxes of bear spleen products, and 20 bottles of alcoholic beverages used for medicinal purposes were found.

The North Korean citizens implicated in the illegal transport had diplomatic passports and are now under criminal police investigation.
