Mongolian Chess Players Compete in World Chess Olympiad
Teen chess players from Mongolia have been successfully competing in the World Chess Olympiad being held in Chongqing, People Republic of China from 21-30 July, 2013. In this competition, 72 teams have been competing from 29 countries. Mongolian chess players A.Sumiya, S.Bilguun, E.Boldoo, G.Munkhbayar and U.Agibileg have been competing in this competition for the first time. In the competition’s first round, the team won the People’s Republic of China’s “Chess Association” team.
The World Youth Under-16 Chess Olympiad was first organized in 1979. Teams from the Russian Federation, Iran and India took first, second and third place in the 2012 World Chess Competition which was held in Istanbul, Turkey that year.
