Junior Wrestlers Featured in Asian Wrestling Championship
The Asian Juniors Championship for freestyle wrestling will take place at the “Buyant Ukhaa” Sports Palace on July 25 to 28. Junior wrestlers from 14 countries such as India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, North Korea, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Yemen, and Mongolia will compete in 10 weight categories. Sponsors for the event are National Investment Bank, Asashyoryu Foundation, Uushig Khairkhan LLC. The critically endangered Mongolian Gobi bear “Mazaalai” was selected to represent the official logo for the competition. The schedule for competition is as follows:
-On July 25 classic wrestling 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 63, and 69kg
-On July 26 classic wrestling 76, 85, 100kg and girl’s wrestling for 38, 40, 43, 46, and 49kg
-On July 27 girl’s wrestling for 46, 50kg and boy’s wrestling for 38, 40, 43, 46, and 49kg
-On July 28 boy’s wrestling for 54, 58, 63, 69, 76, 85, and 100kg
