Mongolian scholar publishes book about Mongolians, Armenians

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The world's famous Brill Publisher has published book named "Mongolians and Armenians 1220-1335" written by D.Bayarsaikhan, a guest researcher of the Department of Mongolian and Tibetan Studies at the University of Bonn. She is the first Mongolian woman to have her work published in the Brill Publisher, which is located in Leiden, the Netherlands.

D.Bayarsaikhan's doctoral thesis features the ties between Mongolians and Armenians, connecting them with eastern history of mediaeval era. Published in English, the book narrates history of Golden Horde, Chagatai Khanate, Ilkhanate and the Yuan Dynasty, the Crusades, Mamlyuks and Muslim world.

D.Bayarsaikhan worked in Mongolia's State University (MSU) as external relations expert and a scientific researcher of the Center of Mongolian Studies. Now, she is conducting comparative research concerning Mongolian history in the University of Bonn.
