Open discussion held
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ An open discussion ran Wednesday to consider some matters such as updating of the state policy in combating alcoholism and related steps. It has been organized in a view of the President's appeal "Alcoholism-Free Mongolia".
The gathered have delivered reports themed "Altering the law on combat against alcoholism", "Implementation of national program on alcoholism prevention and control", "Refining upon legal environment for combating alcoholism with economic methods", "Global standards for reducing alcoholism consequances, attitude and international experiences", "Activities of health project of Mongolia's Millennium Challenge Account to reduce consumption of alcohol drinks", "International experiences in combating alcoholism, funds for health", and "Renewing state policy on combat with alcoholism and its measures".
Co-organized by state organizations and NGOs, the discussion has brought together Ch.Sosormaa, R.Bold, M.Batchimeg, advisors to the President; Vincent Edwards, a permanent representative of the World Vision International Organization to Mongolia; Luo Dapeng, an acting representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) to Mongolia; and some delegates from state organizations and NGOs.
