MNT200 billion to be spent to SME

Cooperating with commercial banks, the Government has been implementing a soft loan to provincial small and medium sized enterprisers for the past two years. In 2011, MNT24 billion was allocated to soums and administrative divisions of aimags. Amount of loans would be decided in accordance of population size. For instance, MNT50 million will be allocated in a soum with a population of 3 thousand and MNT70 million in soums with 5 thousand residents.

Furthermore MPs funds have MNT14 billion planned for SME. This means total of MNT200 billion will be allocated as loans to support the sector in 2011.

Also two phase project of Japan will be implemented among economic entities that request loans between MNT100 million and MNT1 billion. In scope of the project, MNT75 billion will be financed by Japan.
