Petromanas appoints exploration VP
HOUSTON, Jan. 13 -- Petromanas Energy Inc., Calgary, appointed Steve C. Farner as vice-president, exploration.
Farner has more than 28 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the US, Canada, Australia, China, Mongolia, and Papua New Guinea. He most recently served as chief geophysicist at Sunwing Energy Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Ivanhoe Energy Inc.
Before then, he served as president of PanAsian Petroleum Inc., which merged into Sunwing in 2009, and vice-president, exploration, at Kinloch Resources Inc. He also held positions of increasing responsibility during his 21 years with Superior Oil, Mobil Oil, and ExxonMobil Canada.
