Kazakhstan, Mongolia intend to initiate direct flights

The sides initialed a text of the memorandum on the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement on air traffic as part of the first meeting of the Kazakh- Mongolian working group on cooperation in the field of transport, the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications said on April 11.
The agreement will allow initiating the direct flights between the capitals of Kazakhstan and Mongolia, according to the report.
"The memorandum is expected to be signed as part of the sixth meeting of the Kazakh- Mongolian intergovernmental commission on trade - economic, scientific- technical and cultural cooperation, to be held in the capital of Mongolia in May 2014," according to a statement.
Moreover, the sides agreed to expedite the signing of an agreement on cooperation in the field of aviation search and rescue between the Kazakh and Mongolian governments, as well as a memorandum of understanding between the investigative agencies on cooperation in case of air incidents.
