Manang Marshyangdi reach Mongolia to play AFC Challenge Cup
Manag Marshyangdi Club today reached Mongolia at 4:00PM Local time to participate in final edition of AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers. Manang spend about 15 hours transit on Incheon Airport in South Korea before making a 4-hour long journey to the capital City of Mongolia, Ulan Bator.
22-member Manang Marshyangdi Club traveled for the destination yesterday from Nepal and are set to play against league champions of Cambodia and Mongolia in May 2 and 5 respectively.
The squad of 17 players and five officials reached the venue ahead of their match and will conduct training session tomorrow. Coach Nabin Neupane along with Team Manager Kumar Bhattarai including 3 other officials have traveled along with the team.
Captain Sagar Thapa told the reporters that they were positive about getting into the final round and will give their best in the pitch for fans and the club. Manang have recruited new players in form of Biraj Maharjan, Birendra Chand, Deepak Bhusal and Peter Segun for the tournament.
