Video showdown: Vote for the best in the United Nations Environment Programme’s competition
Each year, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) picks a blogger to send to World Environment Day. Last year, the event was held in Mongolia and Charles Akhimien, a 24-year-old doctor and environmentalist from Nigeria, won the prize.
This year’s competition is all about video blogging. A panel from the UNEP has picked the top five video submissions. From these finalists, a winner will be selected with some help from the Goodwill Ambassador Don Cheadle. But total views and popularity will also count, so you can help the maker of your favorite video by commenting and sharing.
World Environment Day is held every year on June 5. The theme of this year’s World Environment Day is small islands and climate change.
Below are the five finalists, who are vying to win a trip to the small island host of the event, which has yet to be announced.
