Inquiry on OT submitted to the Prime Minister

MP S.Erdene, D.Gankhuyag and G.Bayarsaikhan submitted an inquiry about OT agreement to the Prime Minister. The inquiry concerns the implementation status of OT agreement, possibilities of amending the agreement with a view of increasing Mongolia’s share of revenues from OT operations as well as progress of TT negotiations. One specific question the MPs seeking answers to is whether Mongolia benefits from the price increase of Oyu-Tolgoi Ivanhoe Mines stock. Since conclusion of the agreement between Mongolian Government and Ivanhoe Mines Ltd, the price of an individual share of Ivanhoe-Oyu Tolgoi has increased 10 times. They requested the reply to their inquiry to be sounded at the plenary session of Parliament within statutory deadline.
