Vice speaker N. Enkhbold visited in Australia
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian delegation headed by Vice-Speaker of the Great State Hural, chairman of the Mongolian-Australian parliamentary group N. Enkhbold paid an official visit to Australia on 15-9 November at the invitation of the Parliament of this country.
The visit of the Mongolian delegation began with the New South Wales, where they met with the leadership of the University of Sydney, the Association of Australian farmers and the mining company "Extrata".
At a meeting with Governor of the New South Wales State, Marie Bashir, the sides exchanged views on the development relationships in the field of mining and agricultural areas. Mrs. Bashir, in turn, reported the possibility of increasing the number of Mongolian students to study at the University of Sydney.In the capital of Australia, Canberra, delegation headed by N. Enkhbold met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives in the Australian Parliament Harry Jenkins, Parliament and agreed to cooperate in exchanging information and experience within legislative bodies of the two countries. Mr Jenkins announced that he will participate in the Forum of Asia-Pacific Parliament that will be held on January 23-27, 2011 in Ulaanbaatar city, Mongolia.
As part of this visit, the Vice-Speaker of the Great State Hural has exchanged views on two countries' cooperation issues with the President of the Australian Senate John Hogg, the Minister for Foreign Affairs Kevin Rudd, the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Parliament of Australia and the portfolios of Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop, Chairwoman of the Australian-Mongolian Parliamentary Group Kirsten Livermore. Then the Vice-Speaker N. Enkhbold gave an interview to television channel parliamentary Australia.
