SMALL-SIZED TRACTORS TO BE IMPORTED
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In accordance with a decision made on Wednesday by the cabinet, 8,000 small-sized tractors will exported from China.
It was reported by T.Badamjunai, the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry i his report on implementation and process of granting tractors to herders and farmers under a soft-term. According to him, the tractors will cost USD 12.07 million that were saved from a soft-loan of USD 40 million granted from China for preparation works of farming and harvesting.
In conjunction with it, T.Badamjunai was allowed to establish contracts with selected enterprises to supply the tractors, the Minister of Finance D.Khayankhyarvaa--to finance the contract's performance.
The basic guidelines of the socio-economic development bear some goals--to distribute 8,000 small-sized tractors to herders, and 12,000 tractors to farmers together with necessary facilities under a soft-term, to introduce the leasing service for them, and to produce and assemble small parts of tractors and other vehicles. In scope of this, herders will receive 3,000 tractors, farmers--5,000.
The Ministry of Agriculture considers that 266 units of techniques and facilities costing MNT 7.8 billion will significantly contribute to the farmers and herders' work, with the repayment term for three years.
