RESOLUTION PASSED ON "ERDENES TAVANTOLGOI" COMPANY
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The parliamentary session on Thursday passed its draft resolutions on altering the 39th parliamentary resolution on exploiting Tavan tolgoi coal deposit.
More than 76 per cent of the MPs voted for it.
Pursuant to the resolution of parliament, 20 per cent of the "Erdenes Tavantolgoi" company's common stocks will be owned by citizens, and 10 per cent of the stocks will be purchased to enterprisers with a nominal value. As calculated, every Mopngolian is to receive one thousand 72 shares which cost, according to the Government, one million togrog, so if someone wants to take cash instead of the stocks, he/she may sell them to the government.
During a dispute over the resolutions, some MPs expressed a concern over the company's capability.
