STANDING COMMITTEE SETS UP WORKING GROUP
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The parliamentary Standing committee on security and foreign policy has set up a working group after getting acquainted with activities of the Defense Ministry and the Armed Forces of Mongolia.
This group's main objectives are to make conclusions over these organizations' activities, to examine an implementation of the "Basis of State Military Policy" document, passed in 1998 by parliament, of the laws on defense, Armed forces, military responsibilities of citizens and on legal status of military servicemen. Proposals are to be made on improving the defense sector's legal environment.
Chaired by L.Bold MP, the group has comprised R.Amarjargal, R.Gonchigdorj, Kh.Jekei and N.Enkhbold MPs. They will submit the proposals to the Standing committee's meeting before April 20, 2012.
