NUMBERS OF BIRTH AND OF UNEMPLOYMENT RATE INCREASE
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ This January, 6,015 mothers delivered 6,033 children (live births), showing an increase by 852 mothers or 16.5 per cent, and by 843 children or 16.2 percent against the previous year.
At a national level, the infant mortality increased by 11 or 11.7 per cent to 105, and child mortality aged 1-5 increased by 5 or 31.3 per cent to 21 against the previous year.
The number of unemployed reached 58.2 thousand by the end of January of 2012, going up by 19.8 thousand people or 51.7 per cent against the previous year.
