MONGOLIA SIGNS SEVERAL DOCUMENTS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN Headquarters O.Enkhtsetseg signed some documents on behalf of the Government of Mongolia.
These documents are the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Cartagena protocol on biosafety to the Convention on biological diversity, and the Nagoya-Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol on Liability and Redress to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.
Thus Mongolia has become the 81st country to accede to the Nagoya Protocol, as well as one of the 41 countries who have joined the Nagoya-Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol.
