INT'L CONFERENCE ON FOOD SAFETY APPROACHES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ An international conference on food security, international experience and opportunities to realize it here will run on Thursday under auspices of the President of Mongolia.
At the action, co-organized by the Presidential Office, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Parliamentary Standing committee on environment, food and agriculture, and General Agency for Specialized Inspection, the gathered are supposed to discuss international experiences in food security, ways of implementing international standards, of refining upon the legal environment for food security in Mongolia.
The upcoming conference, to which the President is attaching a great attention, will bring together officials from the offices of President, parliament, National Security Council, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, and the General Agency for Specialized Inspection.
Moreover, reports will be given by food security experts from Russia, China, Lithuania, the Great Britain, and by delegates from the IFC, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, the European Union and the World Bank.
