"GRASS ROOTS" PROGRAM BEGINS ITS 400TH PROJECT HERE
Documents have been signed to implement these four projects, the latest ones within the Grass roots program since 1990 in Mongolia.
Some USD 400 thousand will be granted to the Mongolian side for repairing the emergency section of the city’s 3rd hospital and the #134 kindergarten in Khan-Uul district, and for constructing a dormitory in Khentii aimag’s Jargaltkhaan soum and an annex of the “Baigal Ekh” high-school.
Present at the ceremony were D.Gankhuyag, D.Batbayar, G.Tenger, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs; B.Undarmaa, the Vice Minister of Education, Culture and Science; some authorities of aimags, soums; and delegates of NGOs.
After the ceremony, an exhibition opened to show photos, statistics, figures and results of the projects of the Grass roots program. It will last until February 14 in the Mongolia-Japan center.
