UN Population Fund official in Mongolia
The Director of the UN Population Fund of Asia and Pacific Regional Office, Mrs. Nobuko Horibe, is visiting Mongolia between April 4 and 8 on an invitation by the Ministry of Health, to mark the 50th anniversary of cooperation between the UN and the Ministry.
Today she met with Minister for Health S.Lambaa, and handed over aid items.
Mrs. Horibe will call on Prime Minister S.Batbold, Parliament Speaker D.Demberel, Minister for Social Welfare and Labor T.Gandhi and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade B.Bolor to discuss programs to be implemented in Mongolia in the next five years. Mrs. Horibe had earlier visited Mongolia in 1999 as a monitor and estimate advisor at the UNPF. She will go to Darkhan-Uul aimag on April 6 and visit the hospitals of Darkhan-Uul aimag and Khongor soum.
