MONGOLIA TRADES WITH 101 COUNTRIES
In the first quarter of 2011, Mongolia traded with 101 countries from all over the world and total external trade turnover reached 1830.0 million US dollars, of which exports made up 742.1 million US dollars and import made up 1087.8 million US dollars.
External trade balance showed a deficit of 145.9 million US dollars in the March, 2011, increased by 51.8 million US dollars or 55.0 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, while it was also in deficit of 94.1 million US dollars in the March, 2010.
Total external trade turnover increased by 753.8 million US dollars or 70.0 percent, of which imports up by 510.6 million US dollars or 88.5 percent, and exports up by 243.1 million US dollars or 48.7 percent respectively, compared to the same period of the previous year. Mineral products, natural or cultured stones, precious metal, jewelry, coins, textiles & textile articles live animals, animal origin products, raw & processed hides, skins, fur & articles thereof accounted for 97.9 percent of the total export amount.
