Mongolian Boxers Brings Home bronze
Mongolian boxer Z.Enkhzorig grabbed bronze medal and US$2,000 in the Gagik Ttarukyan’s Cup international boxing tournament, which was organized in Yerevan, Armenia from April 12th to 17th, 2011.
The tournament was held under the auspices of President of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan and is planned to be held annually.
Altogether 112 athletes from sixteen countries participated in the tournament. Mongolia was represented by seven members of Mongolian second national team.
Mongolian athletes were J.Otgonbayar (52kg), Z.Enkhzorig (60kg), B.Tuvshinbat (64kg), A.Bar-Ochir (69kg), N.Shinebayar (75kg), T.Munkhbaatar (81kg) and T.Erbolat (-91kg).
The gold medalists were awarded $5,000 each and their coaches $1,000.
Besides, first Mongolian National Boxing team is competing in Belgrade-Winner 2011 international boxing tournament. The tournament will be held in Serbia from April 20th-24th, 2011.
